2012 Section Elections

Dear IPS members,

Three positions are up for renewal in the section: the program/vice-chair and two members at large of the Executive Committee. The program/vice-chair’s primary task is to organise the IPS program for the next ISA convention (2013 in San Francisco) and is also the chair-elect for one year and then succeed the chair, for a one-year term. The chair’s tasks also include the chairing of the Book and Graduate Student Paper awards. In addition to helping the section’s affairs for the two years they are elected, the members at large serve in the Graduate Student Paper award committee in their first year and in the Book award in their second year.

You will find the profiles of the candidates for each positions bellow.

On March 5, paying members of the section (only) will receive an electronic ballot from the ISA headquarters to cast their vote online. If you are unsure about the status of your membership or if you are just a member of the listserv and would like to participate, please check on your membership account on MyISA (www.isanet.org) and either renew your membership or join us.

The election results will be announced during the business meeting of the section (on Tuesday 3 April, 6.30 pm, room 314).

Best regards

Xavier Guillaume, IPS section chair

Rebecca Adler-Nissen, IPS Secretary-Treasurer
